Auto-offer to the next party
When a guest declines or lets an offer expire, ResRes can offer the same table to the next eligible party, up to your limit.
Auto-offer to next party passes a table on when the first guest says no or doesn't respond in time. It never starts by itself: it only follows an offer a host sent.
Before you start
- Your plan must include the advanced waitlist.
- Timed table offers must be on. Turning timed offers off also turns auto-offer off.
- Only owners and managers see the Table offers settings.
Turn it on
- Open Waitlist and find the Table offers section.
- Switch on Auto-offer to next party.
- Choose Up to how many follow-ups may be sent after the first offer.
How it works
- A host sends the first offer with Offer table.
- If that guest declines, lets the offer expire or leaves the waitlist, ResRes looks for the next eligible party for the same table.
- It sends a new timed offer, until the follow-up limit is reached or nobody suitable is waiting.
A follow-up is never guaranteed. It's skipped when, for example:
- no other waiting party fits that table,
- the next party hasn't already been given their status link (auto-offer only reaches parties who have one),
- that party was already offered in this chain.
Withdrawing an offer, or removing the party, always stops the chain.
Check what happened
Recent auto-offers on the Waitlist page lists the latest chains, with a time and either "Offered to the next party" or the reason it stopped. Offers sent automatically are labelled on the party's row.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing happened after a decline: check Recent auto-offers for the stop reason. The usual reasons are that no one else fitted or nobody else had a status link.
- Switch greyed out: turn on Timed table offers first.
