Taking phone and walk-in bookings

Book a guest over the phone or at the door with New booking, or seat a walk-in straight away.

New booking (in your ResRes dashboard; sign-in required)

The New booking and Walk-in buttons are at the top of Reservations, Service and Tables. New booking is also in the main menu.

Phone or future booking

  1. Choose New booking.
  2. Pick the date, party size and time. ResRes only offers times when a suitable table is actually free.
  3. Under Guest, start typing a name, phone number or email. Choose an existing guest, or enter First name, Surname and contact details for a new guest.
  4. Add any notes, occasion or requirements.
  5. Choose Confirm.

If your location takes deposits or card guarantees, the booking screen shows those options. They depend on your setup and plan.

Walk-in

  1. Choose Walk-in.
  2. Enter the Party size and optional Notes, such as seating preference.
  3. Choose Seat now. The party is seated straight away at the first suitable free table.

If no single table fits, you may be offered Split across tables. If nothing is free, you'll see Could not seat this walk-in. Add the party to the Waitlist instead.
