Tables, areas and joined tables
Add your tables with party-size ranges, group them into areas, and set up which tables can be joined for larger parties.
ResRes seats every booking at a real table, or a set of joined tables, so it can't overbook. Your table list decides which party sizes can book.
Areas (optional)
Areas such as "Terrace" or "Upstairs" group your tables. In Setup, use Add area, enter an Area name and choose Save area. Only an owner or manager can change areas.
Add tables
- In Setup → Tables, choose Add table.
- Give it a name or number and set the Smallest party and largest party it can seat.
- Choose whether it is bookable online. Tables that aren't bookable online can still be used by staff.
- Choose Save table.
The checklist item Add bookable tables needs at least one active table that is bookable online.
Joined tables
For parties bigger than any single table, set up Joined tables:
- Choose Add joined tables.
- Pick the Tables in this group and set the Smallest party and Biggest party for the group.
- Choose Save joined tables.
ResRes only joins tables you have set up here. It never joins tables on its own.
Floor plan
You can also arrange tables on a visual floor plan in Setup. This is used on the Tables page during service. Floor plan tools depend on your plan.
