Running service and the floor

Use Service and Tables during a shift to see who is due, mark arrivals, seat guests, move tables and finish visits.

Depends on your plan — see PricingLast verified

Service

Service shows today's shift for the selected location: who is due, who has arrived, who is seated, and what's coming next.

A typical guest goes through:

  1. Mark arrived when they reach the host stand.
  2. Seat when they sit down at the table.
  3. Complete when they've left. This frees the table for the next booking straight away.

If a guest calls to say they're late, choose Running late so the team knows. After the grace period set in booking basics, the booking can be marked No show.

Tables

Tables shows your floor and a timeline of each table. Select a table to see its upcoming bookings and details, seat a walk-in or create a reservation from it.

Some floor tools, such as the visual floor plan, the timeline and drag-to-move, depend on your plan. If you don't see them, check Pricing.

Moving a booking to another table

Open the booking and choose Move table. ResRes only offers tables that are free and suitable for the party, so moving can't create a double booking.

Optimise seating (managers)

Managers and owners may see Optimise seating. It suggests a better arrangement of the day's table assignments. Nothing changes until you review and apply the suggestion.
