About
Restaurant technology should work around the restaurant.
ResRes is reservation software for independent restaurants and small groups: bookings, tables, availability, guests and deposits in one system that the venue controls.
Three problems worth fixing
Why ResRes exists
- 01
Dependence on marketplaces
When bookings arrive through someone else’s marketplace, the guest relationship and the data around it are not fully the restaurant’s. The venue should keep both.
- 02
Cost that scales with success
Commission-style pricing means a busier service costs more to run. A flat subscription per location keeps the cost of taking bookings predictable.
- 03
Complexity and fragmentation
Enterprise systems assume a dedicated administrator; spreadsheets, inboxes and paper books assume nothing goes wrong. Most independents are stuck between the two.
Product philosophy
We build for the hour before service.
Not for a slide deck. That means the day book, the floor and the guest record come first; configuration should be done once and then stay out of the way; and anything that touches availability, tables or money has to be correct under pressure, including when two people act at the same time.
- Restaurant first
- The restaurant owns its booking page, its guest data and its policies. We are the software underneath, not a middleman between you and your guests.
- Simple by default
- Sensible defaults so a small team can be live quickly, with depth available when a venue genuinely needs it.
- Predictable pricing
- A flat subscription per location. Unlimited reservations, and no charge per cover booked through your own booking page.
- One source of truth
- Every booking — guest, staff, walk-in or waitlist — goes through the same availability and table logic, so the book never disagrees with itself.
Direction, not a shipped integration
Where this is going
Reservations are becoming channel-independent: guests will start a booking wherever they already are. ResRes is deliberately built around a single availability and inventory engine so additional interfaces can be added against the same core without a second set of rules.
To be explicit: external booking channels and assistant-driven booking are design direction. They are not live today, and nothing on this site should be read as an announcement that they are.
