Why ResRes

Your restaurant. Your bookings. Your guests.

ResRes is designed for restaurants that want direct bookings rather than a consumer marketplace: bookings taken on your own page, one availability engine behind every channel, no ResRes commission on covers, and the guest relationship kept inside your own account.

Capabilities vary by plan; the Pricing page shows the exact inclusions for each tier.

  • One availability engine behind the booking page, the phone, walk-ins and the waitlist
  • Deposits charged on your own Stripe account — ResRes currently takes a 0% application fee
  • Unlimited reservations on paid Reservations plans
  • Account-level billing with an active-location allowance, never a charge per cover

Fill tables

Take the booking where the guest already is

Your own booking page shows live availability calculated from your real tables and services at the moment the guest looks — so a quiet Wednesday can be sold without handing a marketplace the relationship.

  • Direct online booking on your own page: no consumer marketplace, no cover fee for a guest who was already yours.
  • Online bookings, staff bookings, walk-ins and the waitlist share one availability engine, reducing conflicting inventory across channels.
  • Requested times are held atomically as real inventory while checkout completes, preventing conflicting confirmations on the same table.
  • Waitlist and seating tools help FOH refill availability when a table opens.
A 20:00 cancellation does not become an empty table: the waitlist party is claimed by one member of staff and seated against the same availability rules.

Run service better

One book for the whole shift

The day book and the live floor are the same reservations seen two ways. Nothing is copied between a diary, a spreadsheet and a table plan at 7pm.

  • Cover pacing so a service fills at a rate the kitchen can actually deliver.
  • Table capacities and only the table combinations you allow for larger parties.
  • Live floor with table state: assigning, moving and seating, including drag on the floor plan.
  • Turn times and turnaround by party size and service, so the next booking is real.
  • Amendments are all-or-nothing: two staff acting at once cannot double-book a table.
Pacing closes 20:00 once the kitchen’s cover limit for that slot is reached, and the booking page simply stops offering it — no manual blocking mid-service.
Booked to Seated is one action on the floor. The table state, the turn timer and what the booking page can sell all move together.

Protect revenue

Deposits on your own account, no cut of your covers

A no-show on a Saturday is money gone. Deposits and prepayments are charged through your restaurant’s own Stripe account, and ResRes currently takes a 0% application fee on guest payments — Stripe’s own processing fees apply separately.

  • Fixed deposits, set per booking or per person, on the services and party sizes you choose.
  • Guest payments go to your connected Stripe account; card details never touch ResRes.
  • Payment state is kept separate from booking state, so a table is never quietly treated as paid.
  • Refunds from the reservation, with the payment record kept intact.
  • Booking policies acknowledged at the time of booking and stored exactly as they read then.
A deposit is attached to the booking and charged on your own Stripe account. Payment state is tracked separately from booking state, so nothing is quietly treated as paid.

Bring guests back

The regulars you already have are the cheapest covers you can sell

Every service builds guest history, and that history is what makes the next booking easy to earn — the occasion noted, the dietary and access needs on the record, a quiet month filled by people who already like you.

  • Durable guest records: visit history, party size, occasions, dietary requirements, access needs and staff notes.
  • Context on the screen before the guest reaches the pass.
  • Consent-aware marketing audiences built from that same history, available with Marketing Lite on paid Reservations plans.
  • Completed bookings attributed back to the eligible marketing email that produced them.

The connected loop

Reservations → service control → guest intelligence → marketing → repeat booking

Each stage feeds the next from the same records. Bookings decide the service; running the service records what actually happened; what happened becomes guest history; guest history becomes a consent-aware audience; and a booking made from that message lands back in the same book. Reservations and Marketing share the same ResRes guest and reservation records, reducing the need to export lists between separate reservation and marketing tools.

What it costs, plainly

Do you take a commission on covers?
No. ResRes charges no per-cover commission. Reservations is a subscription billed at restaurant-account level, and each plan includes an allowance of active locations rather than a price multiplied by covers.
Is there a limit on how many reservations I can take?
No. Paid Reservations plans include unlimited reservations.
Who holds the money from deposits?
You do. Deposits are charged as direct charges on your own connected Stripe account. ResRes currently takes a 0% application fee; Stripe’s processing fees are separate and set by Stripe.
Is every feature on every plan?
No. Core booking and service work on every paid plan, while some capabilities — multiple locations, deeper floor operations, team roles, group reporting — are plan-gated. The plan comparison on the pricing page shows exactly what each tier includes.

Plan allowances and prices are on pricing. Anything you cannot find there, ask us on contact.
